1. Data We Collect

Data stored on your device only (never sent to our servers):

• Profile information you enter during onboarding (age, gender, height, weight, goals)
• Food entries, calorie logs, water intake records
• Photos of meals (stored locally on your device)
• App preferences and settings

2. Third-Party Services

OpenAI API: When you use the AI food analysis feature, your meal photo is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This requires you to provide your own API key. We do not store or transmit your API key to any server — it is stored securely on your device. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We do not collect or store payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not have a backend server — all your data stays on your device
• We do not collect analytics, usage data, or device identifiers
• We do not use advertising SDKs or trackers
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties

4. Data Storage & Security

All personal data is stored locally on your device using platform-native secure storage. On iOS, sensitive data is stored in the Keychain. On Android, data is stored using encrypted DataStore. Photos remain in the app's sandboxed directory.

Deleting the app will permanently remove all your data.

5. Children's Privacy

NutriSnap is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can delete all data by uninstalling the app, or reset your profile in Settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
